Hotel — Bodrum
Lobby &
Lounge.
Bodrum · 2025
01Brief
A boutique hotel wanted its lobby to be a destination, not just a passage. Check-in, waiting, bar and quiet corner had to flow as one, open to the light and the breeze of Bodrum.
02Concept
We imagined the lobby as a courtyard: a low seating island at the centre, shaded niches around it. We reduced reception to a modest stone mass; the real gesture became a woven cloud of light dropping from the ceiling and a façade opened to the floor.
A hotel's character is set in the first ten seconds — the lobby is the first word of that sentence.

03Material Palette
Local limestone, charred timber, hand-woven rush and natural linen. Colours run from sand to skin; aged brass as the metal. Basket pendants made with local workshops carry the hand of the region into the space.
04Build & Site
The narrow pre-season window was the hardest constraint. We prefabricated in parallel at the workshop and brought it down to on-site assembly; the stone floor and woven ceiling were delivered ten days before the hotel's opening.
05Outcome
Since opening, the lobby is not just a welcome but a lounge guests choose at every hour of the day. It became the most-shared space of the hotel on social media.
